WORST (Destinations that will most likely disappoint visitors)

TOURIST TRAPS: Not really bad places, but places that will not impress most European travelers, or too expensive for what they offer, or of poor service quality. In brief judged already by a number of foreign tour operators (not by us!) as disappointing although some of those places might be heavily adverstising

Thank you for meeting again this year...

I hope our meeting was as informative for you as it was for us.

Baltic Ambassador has the challenging but exciting mission to improve the quality of tourism in the Baltic Sea Area via better communication between all parties involved. The only way to do it is to carefully listen to what everybody has to say: Tour operators, destination managers, tourism boards, and above all the travelers themselves.

Our selection of "Best of Baltics" was designed specifically for those tour operators interested in sending individuals and groups to destinations in the Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania).

There are guide books to do so, tripadvisor that relates the occasional comments of travellers. But nothing today surpasses the experience on the ground provided by Baltic Ambassador: Inspecting destinations, filrering travellers feed-back comments and especially listening to tour operators.

You will find in this selection some well known destinations that deserve a fresh look and some more "hidden pearls" that have not yet come to the knowledge of the grand public, even though they largely deserve it. You will also find in the bottom of the page a few destinations to surely avoid... Both the "Best" and the "Worst" reflect primarilary the comments received by other tour operators working with the region, which in turn they have most often received themselves from their clients.

We hope that our selection and comments will be helpful in maximizing the positive experience of travellers to the Baltic Sea area.
